The Music of Today's Russian Orthodox Church:
Perspectives in Creative Artistry and Technique

The 25th Annual ROCM Conference will be held from October 5 to October 9, 2016,
      at the
      Marriott Courtyard Montreal Airport

The purpose of this conference is to bring together choir members and conductors of all levels of experience to explore the wealth and beauty of Russian Orthodox church music.

This year's conference will focus on choral tradition in the Russian Orthodox Church - from the point of view of the creative artist, be it composer, arranger, performer - and the necessary techniques to achieve prayerful singing of the highest quality.

Throughout the three-day program, an exciting blend of historical, theoretical, and practical considerations will assist Orthodox conductors and singers in examining, learning about (and putting into action) what ought to be one of their main concerns in every parish choir.

      Join us in October!

Participants will gain practical and theoretical knowledge and experience through lectures, workshops and rehearsals which culminate in festive pontifical services. Further, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, get to know like-minded people and expand their liturgical repertoire.

His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal and Canada, will be serving the All-Night Vigil and the Divine Liturgy.
The All-Night Vigil and the Divine Liturgy will be held at

      422 St Joseph Blvd West
